Maintain Temperatures
Reduce Waste

Get complete visibility into temperature across your estate to enhance occupant comfort, reduce energy bills, and avoid costly HVAC inefficiencies.

Our Solution

4D Monitoring’s calibrated wireless temperature sensors, accurate to within ±0.5°C, deliver reliable real-time readings across every monitored zone. This granular visibility enables facilities teams to detect even subtle fluctuations that could indicate HVAC imbalance, system drift, or localised hot/cold spots.

Data streams securely into our cloud platform, where automated alerts flag anomalies instantly and long-term trend analysis supports targeted energy optimisation, regulatory compliance (CIBSE comfort standards), and evidence-based maintenance decisions.

Occupant complaints are a common consequence of poorly managed temperatures, ranging from discomfort in underheated or overheated areas to frustration with inconsistent conditions between floors or zones. Beyond reducing satisfaction, frequent complaints place added pressure on facilities teams and can negatively affect productivity and wellbeing — issues highlighted in CIBSE’s guidance on thermal comfort.

Occupant Complaints

Wasting Energy

Temperature stability affects energy costs, occupant wellbeing, and compliance. According to CIBSE guidance, workplaces should be maintained at 21–23°C.

<why it matters>

Wasting Energy

Higher utility bills are often the first sign of temperature control issues, but the root cause is usually wasted energy. When heating and cooling systems compensate for hot and cold spots, or run outside their optimal range, they consume far more energy than necessary. Over time, this inefficiency drives up operational spend and carbon emissions, while also putting additional strain on HVAC equipment.

Case Study

At Mayfair Office, a high-end multi-tenant building in London, 4D Monitoring deployed wireless temperature sensors across key zones to investigate recurring comfort complaints and high energy use.

The data revealed temperature fluctuations between floors and extended heating runtimes outside normal operating hours. By adjusting setpoints and rebalancing airflow using the live temperature data, the FM team restored stability and reduced wasted energy.
