Overview

LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is the wireless standard our sensors use to send data. It’s designed for the Internet of Things (IOT): small packets of data, sent over long distances, with very little power.

Unlike Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, LoRaWAN isn’t built for streaming video or big downloads. Instead, it’s built for exactly what buildings need: tiny, regular updates from sensors — like “temperature here is 22°C” or “pump has started.” Because it’s so efficient, devices can run for years on a single battery.
